The concept behind the project ‘Spatial Emergence’ 1998 us developed through the context of the transphysical city. This work explores the significant spatial intervals and boundaries between autonomous architectural structures. If one were to view the buildings with the city as words, then the street could be seen as a sentence. The spaces or pauses, between the words give the sentence added meaning and perhaps have equivalent if not greater value.

Due to telecommunications, architectural infra-structures no longer need to remain in their present form. The ability to renegotiate perspectival constraints is vital research for artists at this point in time.
